The Role

Our Health Service is seeking the services of a skilled and motivated Clinician to join our amazing team providing a high standard of care, to lead our Multidisciplinary Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic. You will work with a range of passionate, skilled and enthusiastic health professionals who are invested in ensuring the best possible outcomes for families and children.

About you:

The position involves leading and coordinating the Multidisciplinary Autism Assessments within the Paediatric Service of Melton Health.

The position involves leading a team of 28 health professionals including Paediatricians, Paediatric Registrars and Fellows, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Allied Health and Administration Assistants, to ensure that Multidisciplinary Autism Assessments are conducted according to current evidence and best practice guidelines, in an efficient, effective and coordinated manner. The Autism Assessment Service is involved in collaborative research with the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, and has published research on the model of assessment used at Melton Health. The clinic leader will also be involved in collaborating with other Autism Assessment services around the state including CAMHS, RCH and Sunshine Hospital.

  • Direct clinical experience and specialist knowledge in multidisciplinary Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments
  • Must be qualified and hold current registration with AHPRA and relevant disciplinary authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams

Djerriwarrh Health Services is a dynamic and rapidly expanding public health service providing Acute, Community, Maternity and Aged Care to the City of Melton and Shire of Moorabool in Melbourne's Western suburbs.

This role, based at the Melton Health campus, offers a short 45-minute commute from the bustling CBD.

The successful applicant will be required to have undergo pre-employment suitability screening including: a current police check, working with children and Australian work rights. Regretfully, Djerriwarrh is unable to offer sponsorship.
