Renal Dialysis is a 12-chair haemodialysis unit operating within Melton Health. The service provides haemodialysis treatments for individuals three times per week. The service is staffed by Registered Nurses trained in the delivery of haemodialysis and sessional Nephrologists. The unit is also supported by Allied Health staff and Patient Services Assistants. Renal Dialysis operates in partnership with the Western Health Renal Service.
Shifts will be Monday to Saturday of 8 hours duration; and your roster will be negotiated with your NUM.
The successful applicant will act as a clinical and professional resource person demonstrating broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all facets of Renal Dialysis nursing. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and problem solving skills within the renal dialysis unit.
- Current AHPRA registration as a registered nurse
- Extensive dialysis nursing experience
- Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
